Neil Lennon has issued an update on Leigh Griffiths fitness ahead of Celtic’s clash with St. Mirren on Wednesday, and it’s good news for the Hoops.
According to RTE Sport, Lennon revealed that Griff will return to full training later this week after months on the sidelines.
Leigh is back on the grass now. He has been doing some physical work with the fitness coaches and we hope he starts training again on Thursday.

News of a return to fitness for Griff is a huge positive both for the striker and for Celtic.
The 29-year-old will no doubt be desperate to return to action given how his last involvement came back in the 3-1 win over Hearts back in August, with a thigh niggle and a virus keeping him sidelined since.
Furthermore, Celtic head into the tie with St. Mirren with Odsonne Edouard as the only fit, senior striker with Vakoun Bayo requiring a scan on a problem picked up in training.
Lennon will therefore be welcoming Griff’s imminent return to training ahead of Saturday’s League Cup semi-final with Hibernian.
