Scott Brown has given Neil Lennon a big boost ahead of this weekend’s League Cup semi-final against Hibernian at Hampden Park.
The Celtic captain suffered a slight thigh problem in Wednesday’s 2-0 win over St. Mirren, leading to fears he may be a doubt for this weekend.
However according to Radio Clyde’s senior sports reporter Alison Conroy, Brown revealed he trained with the squad on Thursday and will be “fine” for the trip to Hampden on Saturday.

Broony was never going to miss a game of this magnitude, and his presence will clearly be a big positive for Lennon and Celtic.
The skipper has formed an excellent partnership with Callum McGregor in midfield and the pair are likely to play a crucial role for the Hoops this weekend.
Lennon has a number of midfield options available for the semi-final with both Olivier Ntcham and Tom Rogic fit, but you’d expect the Celtic boss to go with CalMac, Brown and Ryan Christie on Saturday.
