Fans have mixed opinions on journalist’s comments about Edouard

A number of Celtic supporters have offered mixed reactions to journalist Roger Hannah’s claim that the Hoops would feel the impact of an injury to Odsonne Edouard more than any other side in Scotland would if one of their key men picked up an injury. 

Eddy has had an excellent start to the season for club and country, scoring 11 goals and creating nine assists in all competitions for Celtic.

And these fans have offered mixed opinions to Hannah’s claim about the impact of a potential absence from the side.

I think I side with the last Tweet with regards to where Celtic would be if Eddy did get injured.

There’s no denying that it would be a big blow for the Hoops to lose Eddy for a prolonged period on the treatment table, but it would not be a disaster, given the amount of creative players Celtic have at their disposal.

James Forrest and Ryan Christie are both in double figures for goals scored already this season, while Mohamed Elyounoussi has netted four in his last there league games.

Mikey Johnston, Tom Rogic, Scott Sinclair and Leigh Griffiths, if fit, are also all capable of finding the back of the net, meaning the Hoops would certainly have goalscorer’s to rely on in the absence of Eddy.
