Luca Connell set for first-team role this season
Luca Connell is reportedly set for a role in the first-team in the second-half of the season after making a “big impression” on Neil Lennon and his coaching staff, and that certainly bodes well for Celtic.
According to Football Insider, sources close to the club have revealed how Lennon has plans to include Connell in the first-team setup later this season after being impressed by the 18-year-old in training.
Connell made the move to Parkhead last summer after Celtic agreed on a compensation fee with Bolton Wanderers; where the versatile midfielder made 12 appearances in all competitions last season.

We’ve all seen the positive impact Jeremie Frimpong has had since his arrival from Manchester City in the summer, with the full-back impressing both on and off the pitch in recent weeks.
Connell will be hoping to replicate Frimpong’s immediate success at the club by establishing himself as a player Lennon can rely on in the first-team, when he is given the chance to make his debut.
