Celtic have reportedly identified Kristijan Lovric as a potential replacement for Mohamed Elyounoussi, with uncertainty over whether the Hoops can afford to sign the Southampton loanee permanently.
The Hoops sent scouts to watch the 23-year-old in action last week as they continue to work on identifying future transfer targets.
Elyounoussi has been in fine form recently, and stepped his performance levels up once again with an outstanding display against Hibernian in the League Cup semi-final.
The winger scored two and assisted two in Celtic’s 5-2 win over Hibs at Hampden Park, taking his tally for the season to seven goals and five assists in 10 appearances in all competitions.
And while Neil Lennon would no doubt love to sign him permanently, the Hoops have reportedly began to scout potential replacements, given how Southampton’s asking price is likely to be rather high and the winger’s wages may be too much.
Celtic have scouted Lovric with that in mind, but who is he and what could he bring to Parkhead? We’ve taken a look for you.
