Neil Lennon has hinted at a potential new contract for Scott Brown and believes it would cost the club “a few bob” given his current form.
According to the Daily Record, Lennon has revealed his belief that Broony has it in him to extend his deal by another year, but all involved will take stock of the situation next season.
He’s incredible. And I think he’s playing as well as ever. I look at Rangers away, Lazio, Hibs on Saturday, Aberdeen away and other games. As for another contract, the way he’s playing at the minute, it might cost us a few bob!

It will depend on how he’s feeling and how he’s playing at the time. I think he’s got another year after this one. We’ll take a view of that maybe this time next year, with him as well.
READ CELTIC VERDICT
Brown’s recent run of form has been nothing short of superb, and the way he’s been playing you wouldn’t put it past him to extend his deal by another year.
The Celtic captain was instrumental in the 5-2 win over Hibernian in the League Cup semi-final on Saturday, and he will no doubt be a key figure for the Hoops against Lazio this week.
Lennon’s men will travel to Rome knowing their first ever victory on Italian soil coupled with a win for CFR Cluj against Rennes would seal qualification into the knockout stages of the Europa League.
