The news comes shortly after both James Forrest and Scott Bain penned respective contract extensions last week.

CalMac has been a figure of consistency for Celtic since breaking into the first-team, and fully deserves his new contract.

The midfielder has featured 290 times for Celtic since making his memorable debut against KR Reykjavik in 2015, after he scored the only goal of the game in a 1-0 away victory in the Champions League qualifiers.
The 26-year-old’s new deal extends his stay at Parkhead until the summer of 2024 and puts a stop to any rumours linking him with a move away from the club.
Leicester City had been linked with a move, but CalMac has responded to such links by penning his new five-year deal.
