Gary Ralston of the Daily Record has suggested that Scott Brown should be considered as a surprise target for the vacant Hibernian job.
In his latest column, Ralston assess the potential candidates to succeed Paul Heckingbottom at Easter Road and Craig Levein at Hearts, before suggesting Hibs should contact Broony to see if he would be interested in taking over at the end of the season.
Edinburgh’s big two are in the market for a manager, although their shopping list at this stage is more tenners than Jenners.
Early favourites are Stephen Robinson on the back of a couple of fine seasons with Motherwell and Jack Ross on a reputation cast at St Mirren and not quite cemented at Sunderland.

While Broony is likely to have considered what life after his playing days will be like, given his current form, it appears unlikely that he is planning to hang up his boots at the end of the season.
Fresh from his brace against Hibs in the League Cup semi-final last weekend, his sole focus will be on Celtic at the moment.
The Hoops travel to Rome to face Lazio on Thursday in what is set to be a cracker of a Europa League tie, and Broony will no doubt be buzzing to get underway at the Stadio Olimpico.
