Callum McGregor has joined James Forrest as one of the club’s highest earners after signing his new five-year contract extension earlier this week.
According to Football Insider, McGregor has signed a deal worth around £30,000-a-week which sees him bump up into the bracket of highest earners at the club.
CalMac becomes the latest key man to move into that tier, after Forrest’s new deal last month saw him join the likes of Scott Brown and Christopher Jullien as the highest paid players at the club.

CalMac becoming the third player in recent weeks to extend his deal at the club is excellent business from Celtic, following deals for Jamesy and Scott Bain.
And the midfielder certainly deserves his new contract, with the 26-year-old establishing himself as an integral figure for Celtic since making his debut back in 2014.
McGregor has also hinted at the possibility of seeing out the rest of his career at Celtic and becoming a one club man in the aftermath of signing his latest extension.
Kristoffer Ajer is reportedly next inline for a new bumper deal at Celtic, as the Hoops’ hierarchy look to tie their key men down ahead of the January transfer window.
