Neil Lennon has reportedly ‘hinted’ at the possibility of offering a new contract to Jonny Hayes come the end of the season.
The Republic of Ireland international’s current deal is set to expire at the end of the season, but according to journalist Pete O’Rourke, Lennon has dropped a hint that Celtic could extend Hayes’ deal at the end of the current campaign.

News of a potential new deal for Hayes will certainly go down well with both the 32-year-old and Hoops supporters, who have been full of praise for the versatile Irishman following his recent displays.
Hayes has started the last two games against Lazio and Motherwell respectively, putting in his usual workmanlike performances in both from left-back.
He also played a big role in Celtic’s second goal against Motherwell on Sunday, with his driven cross turned home by the unfortunate Richard Tait in the 2-0 win at Parkhead.
And Hayes certainly deserves to have his contract extended with the Irishman proving how useful a player he still is in recent weeks.
