Motherwell boss Stephen Robinson has praised Celtic following the Hoops’ 2-0 win over his side at Parkhead last weekend.
Odsonne Edouard opened the scoring with a well taken finish in the second-half before Richard Tait turned Jonny Hayes’ driven cross into his own net to double Celtic’s lead.
Following the game, Robinson revealed the Hoops ‘wore’ his side down and praised Neil Lennon’s side for being “top class,” according to the Daily Record.
We got punished, Declan Gallagher intercepts the ball and Edouard puts it in the top corner, that’s the level you’re up against. There was a lot of positives for us, we were very organised and the boys carried it out to the letter.
Could we have held more of a threat in the final third? Yeah, but they wear you down. You don’t beat Lazio if you’re not a top-class side.

Motherwell certainly produced a disciplined performance at Parkhead but ultimately they could not do enough to stop Celtic from recording an important victory.
The Hoops will now look to maintain their fine run of form and inflict revenge on Livingston following the international break.
