Scotland’s strongest position is left-back, but without Premier League stars Andrew Robertson and Kieran Tierney, Scotland headman Steve Clarke will be forced to put out a man who hasn’t seen much time lately, Celtic’s Greg Taylor.
Taylor appeared for Kilmarnock twice in Killie’s UEFA Europa League round one qualification failure, twice in the SPFL for Kilmarnock, and once in the Betfred Cup.
Since his transfer to Celtic in August, the left back made his Parkhead debut and only appearance for Celtic, on October 30th, playing 88 minutes in a 2-0 win over St. Mirren.

Taylor made his international debut on June 11 in a 3-0 loss in Belgium, and has not featured for Scotland since.
Scotland missing Tierney isn’t anything new, but they usually have captain Robertson at left-back.
Taylor will have the opportunity to warrant more playing time with Celtic, and possibly even force a shuffle in the lineup against Cyprus and Kazakhstan.
If Taylor impresses, he might force Steve Clarke to shuffle Robertson to the wing in future matches, where he has seen time in the past.
