Andrew Robertson believes Greg Taylor has an excellent chance to make a positive impression on Steve Clarke during this international break.
Both Robertson and Kieran Tierney will miss Scotland’s Euro 2020 qualifiers this month against Cyprus and Kazakhstan, meaning Taylor is in line to start in both ties.
And ahead of the fixtures, Scotland captain Robertson believes the rarely seen Celtic left-back has a brilliant chance to impress and he hopes Taylor can make the most of the opportunity, the Evening Times reports.
We have two vital games in March and these games are important for that, which is why I wanted to be involved.
The only positive is the gaffer will get to look at other players such as Greg Taylor who hasn’t had as much game time as he would have wanted at Celtic, so I hope he gets game time and plays well.

Greg was unbelievable against Belgium away and is more than capable of filling in that left-back role, and it gives the manager a chance to look at him.
I wish all the lads all the best but more importantly Greg because he’s a really good young player who is up and coming.

Robertson’s hopes for Taylor during this international break will certainly be shared by many Celtic fans, who are keen to see more of their summer signing.
The left-back has only featured once for the Hoops since his move from Kilmarnock, and will no doubt be desperate to impress both Clarke and Neil Lennon with positive displays for Scotland.
