Celtic have been linked with a move for Heidenheim midfielder Niklas Dorsch with a potential January bid in mind.
Reports emerged earlier this week suggesting Celtic were considering activating his release clause of a reported €3.2million, as Neil Lennon gets ready for the January transfer window.
The Hoops currently appear to be the only side in the running to sign the midfielder, with reports thus far naming only Celtic as potential suitors.
A potential move for Dorsch could well depend on whether Burnley come in for Nir Bitton, with the Premier League outfit said to be willing to offer Celtic £1million for the Israel international who is out of contract in the summer.
And following the rumours linking Dorsch with a move to Parkhead, we’ve taken a look at his career so far and what he could potentially offer Celtic.

Dorsch is a 21-year-old German Under-21 international who currently plays as a midfielder for 2. Bundesliga side Heidenheim.
After initially signing for FC Nurnberg as a youngster, Dorsch made the move to Bayern in 2012 and spent six years working his way through the ranks before moving to Heidenheim in 2018.
The midfielder made just one senior appearance for Bayern, playing the full 90 minutes and scoring on his debut in a 4-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt in 2018.
Dorsch has flourished since his switch to Heidenheim, making 47 appearances for the 2. Bundesliga side across last season and so far this campaign.
The 21-year-old has scored three goals and created six assists in that time, picking up 10 yellow cards along the way.
Dorsch has represented Germany at every age group from U15’s right the way through to U21s, with his debut for for the latter coming in a friendly against Greece earlier this year, in which he scored in a 2-0 win.
The 21-year-old is more of a defensive minded player who likes a tackle; just the type of player Celtic need given the amount of attacking midfielders in their ranks.
Future Celtic move?
A potential move for Dorsch certainly appears as though it could be likely, given how he is reportedly open to a switch to Celtic and how he is in the Hoops’ price range at around €3.2million.
