Andrew Gutman will spend the 2020 MLS campaign with FC Cincinnati once again after joining them in August earlier this year.
The left-back has returned to Glasgow to train with Celtic during the MLS off-season, after making 10 appearances for Cincinnati towards the closing stages of the campaign.
And according to the Daily Record, Gutman will return to the MLS side in the new year to begin pre-season ahead of the campaign which begins at the end of February.
READ CELTIC VERDICT
Gutman will certainly be keen to impress for Cincinnati when the MLS season gets underway once again next year, in what will be his first full season with the US side.
The left-back faces a tough task when it comes to breaking into the Celtic side, with both Boli Bolingoli and Greg Taylor ahead of him in the pecking order currently.
However a strong spell away with Cincinnati could certainly go a long way to helping him make an impact on Neil Lennon and targeting a place in the side this time next year.
Celtic will also be hoping Gutman does enough to earn a call-up to the USA squad which will help the left-back gain a work permit to play for the Hoops.
