French media outlet L’Equipe have praised Odsonne Edouard following his match-winning penalty for France’s Under-21 side on Friday.

Eddy continued his blistering start to his U21 career with another goal to take his tally to a remarkable 10 goals in just five appearances, with his penalty on Friday proving to be a crucial winning goal in a 3-2 victory over Georgia’s U21’s.

Following the performance, L’Equipe praised Eddy for his contribution and hailed the striker’s “flawlessness.”

The public who comes to see them (under-21s) is watching an Odsonne Edouard who chases the goals at a crazy speed. The Celtic forward had long gone through the game as a ghost, until that goal in overtime.

The French striker gave the victory to the Blueberries, scoring his tenth goal in just five selections. Fortunately, the coach has a player who walks on water. ‘An attacker who is efficient is important’ said Ripoll (under-21 manager), who will still have Edouard on Tuesday, leader of the pool, to continue his flawlessness.

Eddy’s form for the U21’s has been simply superb, and the striker deserves all the praise he is receiving from L’Equipe.

The Frenchman has already scored three braces and one hat-trick to go alongside his solitary goal last Friday, and he will no doubt be looking to find the back of the net once again against Switzerland on Tuesday.
