Lewis Morgan has praised the newly appointed Hibernian manager Jack Ross for having a big impact on the winger’s career.
The pair worked together during their time at St Mirren, and according to the Daily Record, Morgan believes Ross had a huge influence on his career and claimed he will be a success at Easter Road.
I texted the manager to congratulate him. It’s a great appointment for Hibs. I obviously have worked with him before and know him really well. He’s a top manager and an excellent coach. He was brilliant with me. I think he’s the same with all of his players, he just managed to give them an extra yard.

He was massive for me. I was playing regularly for St Mirren when he arrived but he helped bring my game on. It was really that last season under him where I really kicked on and caught people’s eyes. I owe him a lot.

Morgan certainly flourished under Ross, with his form for the Buddies earning him his move to Celtic and helping Saints gain promotion back to the top flight.
Despite a tough spell with Sunderland, Ross certainly appears to be a fine appointment for Hibs, and it will be intriguing to see how the former Black Cats boss does at Easter Road.
As for Morgan, he has struggled to make a real impact at Celtic but injuries to Mohamed Elyounoussi and Mikey Johnston could see the winger given another opportunity to impress against Livingston following the international break.
