Roma lining up January move for Ntcham but could face competition

AS Roma are reportedly plotting a January move for Olivier Ntcham but the Serie A side could face competition.

According to Sportslens via TMW, Valencia and Sporting Lisbon are both expressing an interest in the Frenchman but Roma appear to be the current front runners.

The Serie A side are said to be “preparing” an offer for Ntcham in the winter window, after the midfielder reportedly impressed after scoring the winner against Lazio in the famous 2-1 win at the Stadio Olimpico.

Interest in Ntcham is understandable given how technically gifted the Frenchman is, but Celtic must do all they can to keep hold of him.

Not only did he score that goal in Rome, but on his day Ntcham is arguably one of the best players in the league and despite not being a regular starter this season, he can still be an important player for Neil Lennon.

The midfielder however is good enough to be playing week in, week out, and after coming close to a summer move, he may be tempted by the prospect of regular first-team football elsewhere.
