Barry Ferguson believes Ryan Kent will be Rangers’ main dangerman in next month’s League Cup final with Celtic at Hampden Park.
The former Rangers captain hailed Kent as a “special talent” and saw enough from his Glasgow Derby performances last season to suggest that he will be the key man for Steven Gerrard in the final, HITC report via PLZ soccer.
He is a special talent. I just like the way he carries the ball. The things he can do, either on the left flank or the right flank. Once he gets up to speed because of his previous hamstring injury, he will be a top, top player.

I thought he was the main player for Rangers last season in the Old Firm games. He stepped up to the plate. I have no doubt he will do that at Hampden because for me he is a special talent.

While Kent can be a threat for Rangers, Celtic have more than enough quality at the back to deal with the £7million man.
Christopher Jullien and Kristoffer Ajer have formed an excellent partnership in defence, and the pair will be extremely motivated for the final next month.
Jeremie Frimpong is also in contention to start given his form so far this season, and Jonny Hayes will always perform in the big games if he starts at left-back, with Boli Bolingoli’s fitness in doubt.
