Celtic fans are in stitches after Gerrard’s comments about Morelos

Steven Gerrard has had a number of Celtic fans in stitches after claiming he’d turn a £50 million bid for Alfredo Morelos.

Outgoing Rangers chairman Dave King suggested earlier this week that the club would turn down a bid of £40million down for Morelos amid interest in him from the Premier League.

And Gerrard clearly agrees, by suggesting that even £50million wouldn’t be enough for Rangers to sell him; a claim that has had these fans in stitches.

Gerrard can claim that he’d turn a £50million bid for Morelos down all day long but the reality is that Rangers would never say no to that, just like Celtic would be crazy to turn a £50million offer for Odsonne Edouard down, for example.

Both are hugely important players for their respective clubs, but there is no way a fee in that region of being rejected.
