Journalist for Greek media outlet Sportime.Gr Gian Chorianopoulos has revealed that Celtic have sent scouts to watch Sunday’s top of the table clash in the Greek Super League between Olympiakos and PAOK.

Chorianopoulos believes Olympiakos left-back Konstantinos Tsimikas and PAOK’s Dimitris Giannoulis are both on Celtic’s “list,” and the Hoops have reportedly sent scouts to watch the pair.

READ CELTIC VERDICT

While Celtic may well have sent scouts to attend the game, it appears unlikely that left-backs will be a priority given how both Boli Bolingoli and Greg Taylor were signed in the summer.

Jonny Hayes has also provided cover at left-back this season, though his contract is currently set to expire next summer.

Are you surprised to hear of Celtic reportedly scouting left-back's?

Yes

No

Reported interest in left-back’s therefore comes as a slight surprise, but it is good to see the club keeping an eye on players who could strengthen all areas of the squad.

Former Celtic target Omar Elabdellaoui is also expected to feature for Olympiakos.
