Dan Petrescu has called for one of CFR Cluj’s league fixtures prior to the clash with Celtic to be postponed.
The Romanian side are currently in the midst of an injury crisis during the busy festive period, and face Sepsi on Wednesday before a trip to Botosani on Sunday.
Celtic would be up next for Cluj, but Petrescu believes his side will have “no chance” against the Hoops unless one of their upcoming league fixtures is rescheduled, The Boot Room report via Digisport.
I don’t understand this program. It is very important that we manage to postpone one of these two matches. Otherwise, we have no chance with Celtic. Zero chance.

Petrescu’s frustrations are understandable given the significance of the Celtic clash for his side.
While the Hoops have already qualified and secured top spot in Group E, Cluj are not yet through. Defeat against Celtic would open the door for Lazio to steal second spot and progress through to the last 32.
The Cluj boss is therefore looking to field his strongest side for the tie, but a postponement for one of their two league games prior to Celtic’s trip to Romania seems unlikely.
