Alan Hutton believes Olivier Ntcham will still be looking for a move away from Celtic next summer despite his recent comments about hit future.

The midfielder has stated he is fully “focused” on playing for Celtic despite the likes of AS Roma and Valencia showing an interest in him, while the Hoops have also stated that he will not be sold in January.

However Hutton told Football Insider of his belief that Ntcham has only made those comments to win the fans over, suggesting that the Frenchman will still be looking to move away next summer.

I think at the back of the mind it will always be there, he obviously wanted to leave at the start and it didn’t quite happen. You know what fans can be like, you have to get them back on side so he’s said what he’s had to say: ‘I’m focused.’

I do believe he’ll be looking for a move, in my opinion, there’s no smoke without fire. He is doing well for the club but I think come maybe the summer, he might be looking to get off. He’s been at Celtic for a while now and maybe he’s looking for a change of scenery.

Ntcham’s future at Celtic is certainly an interesting topic.

Do you think Ntcham will want to leave next summer?

Given how he wanted to leave prior to the start of the season, you wouldn’t be surprised to see him push for a move once again next summer.

However he has been an important figure for Neil Lennon this season, and if he continues to be involved on a regular basis in another successful season, then that could influence him to stay.
