Rangers joined Celtic in the last 32 of the Europa League on Thursday night following a 1-1 draw with Young Boys at Ibrox, but the away side’s late goal has dealt them a big financial blow.
Borna Barasic’s 89th minute own goal has essentially cost Rangers around €880,000 according to Twitter account @AgentScotland, with Steven Gerrard’s side missing out on prize money for a win and topping the group.
And these Celtic fans have shared their reactions to the news.

READ CELTIC VERDICT
While it’s always funny to have a dig at Rangers, we have to admit that it is brilliant to see two Scottish clubs in the knockout stages of Europe for the first time.
Furthermore, Celtic and Rangers’ progression into the last 32 has ensured that every British club in Europe this season has made it into the knockout stages of the respective European competitions.
Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester City all progressed in the Champions League, while Celtic, Rangers, Wolves, Arsenal and Manchester United negotiated their way into the Europa League knockout stages.
The draw for the last 32 will take place on Monday, but Celtic and Rangers cannot be drawn against each other at this stage of the competition.
