Celtic have reportedly “stepped up” their plans to offload Scott Sinclair in January.

The winger made his first start of the season against CFR Cluj on Thursday as Neil Lennon fielded a heavily rotated squad in the final Europa League group stage game.

And according to Football Insider, Lennon included Sinclair in the starting lineup to put him in a ‘shop window’ ahead of the January window and prove his fitness to clubs interested in a move for him.

The report also suggests that a fee in the region of £1million will be enough to prize the 30-year-old away from Parkhead.

Sinclair appears set for a move away from the club in January given the lack of first-team football he’s had this season.

The winger had a huge opportunity to impress on Thursday against Cluj but unsurprisingly looked rusty in Romania, and he may well have played his last game for the club.

Derby County were linked with a move for him in the summer and are said to be keen on signing him once again in the winter window.
