Ryan Christie’s absence from the squad caused quite a stir on social media on Sunday, with many expecting the 24-year-old to start against Hibernian.
However he was not included in the matchday squad as Celtic ran out 2-0 winners at Parkhead, as goals from Jeremie Frimpong and Odsonne Edouard gave the Hoops a comfortable victory.
Prior to the win, a number of Celtic fans expressed their concerns over Christie’s fitness.

While Christie’s absence did not prove to be too much of a blow for Celtic on Sunday, Neil Lennon will no doubt want to have him back sooner rather than later.
The 24-year-old has been in scintillating form this season and a long spell on the sidelines would certainly be a big setback for the Hoops.
Lennon has revealed he is hoping to have the midfielder fit for the midweek clash with Hearts however, suggesting Christie may have just been suffering from a minor setback.
