Neil Lennon has singled out Jeremie Frimpong following his performance against Hibernian on Sunday, suggesting he’s never seen a player of his quality at such a young age.
The full-back impressed once again as he opened the scoring against Hibs with his second goal for the club, as Celtic maintained their two point gap at the top of the league.
And according to HITC, Lennon hailed Frimpong following the win by describing his performances this season as “magnificent.”
I’ve never seen a better kid than him. Honestly. The quality and pace of his play, his end product. He scored today. It’s almost as if it’s every week we’re talking about him. The level of his performances is just absolutely magnificent.

Frimpong has certainly been one of the surprise packages this season with a number of hugely impressive performances following his move from Manchester City in the summer.
The 18-year-old has adjusted to life in Glasgow with aplomb and shown real maturity to step up in Hatem Abd Elhamed’s absence.
Many will be intrigued to see who nails down a place as Lennon’s first choice right-back upon Elhamed’s return to fitness.
