Scott Sinclair offers update about his future after “tough” season so far

Scott Sinclair has issued an update about his Celtic future after what he described as a “tough” season so far.

The winger has started just one game in all competitions and has been linked with a January move away given his lack of first-team action.

However according to HITC, Sinclair told the Daily Mail that he would love to stay at Celtic and all he wants is to start enjoying his football once again.

I just want to play, everyone who knows me is aware of that. I haven’t really spoken to the manager about leaving. If it was my choice, I would love to stay and fight for a position. But this season has been tough. I want to play football. I want to enjoy my football again.

Sinclair has certainly not had the season he would have been hoping for heading into the campaign.

His only start thus far coming in what was a dead rubber tie for Celtic against CFR Cluj last week, and the winger struggled to make an impact on the game, though that is hardly surprising given how little he has played this season.

Despite his comments about wanting to stay at the club, if another team makes an offer for him in January with the promise of first-team football, then that could be too good a deal for the winger to turn down.
