Celtic reclaimed their top spot in the Premiership by beating 10-man Aberdeen 2-1 at Parkhead.
Christopher Jullien and Odsonne Edouard were the goalscorers for Neil Lennon’s men, while Sam Cosgrove equalised at one point for the away side.
After a good start to the game, Celtic took the lead in the seventh minute when a Ryan Christie corner was met by Jullien’s header into the back of the net.
After that, the Hoops had chances to double their lead, but Edouard and Christie were ever so unlucky not to get on the score sheet.
Aberdeen equalised in the 35th minute, when a brilliant cross from Neil McGinn was headed in by Cosgrove, who got ahead of his marker in the box.
The aforementioned striker got sent off in the 69th minute after making a wild challenge in Kristoffer Ajer.
Celtic took the lead three minutes before that incident, when Edouard lashed in Christie’s through ball into the back of the net.
All in all, a good win for Lennon’s men, who are now back at the top of the table.
Here’s how we rated the Celtic players after this game:
Fraser Forster - 5
Didn’t have to do too much apart from bringing the ball out from the back of the net once. His distribution was decent too.
Jeremie Frimpong - 7
The right-back was involved in the game on both sides of the pitch and looked active throughout. He had one attempt on goal that just blazed over the bar.
Christopher Jullien - 8
He commanded the back-line by going strong against the physicality of Cosgrove and winning most of the battles.
He also began the scoring with a great header.
Kristoffer Ajer - 7
Could he have done better to stop Cosgrove from scoring? It is difficult to answer as the Aberdeen man did well.
He was composed and solid other than that and was at the end of a wild tackle that reduced the away side to 10 men.
Boli Bolingoli - 6
The left-back had a somewhat quiet game where he wasn’t required to defend a lot and offered limited support to the attack. A reserved yet solid game.
Scott Brown - 6
The captain started the game well and looked very lively in the first half on and off the ball. He was a bit off radar after the break as Celtic pushed on for the winner.
Callum McGregor - 6
A workman-like performance from McGregor, where he had odd attempts on goal, but other than that, he was reserved with his passing and kept things ticking along without doing anything extraordinary.
Ryan Christie - 9
Christie had a great game in the final third where he assisted both the goals, hit the post once and had several other good moments in and around the opposition box.
Got clumsily booked for a dive in the first half.
Olivier Ntcham - 6
The Frenchman had a decent first half where he had a couple of attempts on goal. He didn’t start the second half well and was subbed off around the hour mark.
James Forrest - 7
Even though Forrest didn’t score or suppy an assist today, he was a threat all game long for the opposition. His crossing was good and some of his play in the final third was of high quality.
Subbed off in the 83rd minute.
Odsonne Edouard - 8
He looked threatening all game long and had chances in the first half to score, only to be denied by poor accuracy.
He got his goal in the second half though, that turned out to be the match-winning goal.
Subbed off later on.
(SUB) Mikey Johnston - 6
Looked sharp after coming on and caused a lot of problems to the Aberdeen defence.
(SUB) Leigh Griffiths - 5
Had a couple of attacks to get involved into after coming on in the final 14 minutes.
(SUB) Tom Rogic - N/A
Couldn’t have done much after coming on in the 83rd minute.
