Celtic fans react as club begin talks over potential move for Sporar

Celtic have begun talks with Slovan Bratislava over a potential move for Andraz Sporar in January, but some fans do not seem convinced by the striker after watching a compilation highlights video.

Neil Lennon confirmed on Tuesday that the club held talks with Slovan earlier this week regarding the 25-year-old’s future, as speculation over a move to Glasgow increases.

Twitter account @aboutceltic reported the news on social media before posting a compilation video of the striker, and these Celtic fans have shared their reactions after watching it.

Compilation videos are always a risky thing to judge a player’s talent on, as they rarely give an indication of how good a player truly is.

And while some may have their doubts about signing Sporar, the 25-year-old’s stats do not lie.

A total of 20 goals from 26 appearances, including five in six Europa League games, emphasises how Sporar knows how to find the back of the net consistently.

And Celtic need a player of Sporar’s ilk in January; a goalscorer who is proven in Europe and available for a relatively affordable fee.
