Since the beginning of the decade, Celtic have won quite a few trophies: eight league titles, five Scottish Cups, and five League Cups, as well as the 2017 FIFA Fan Award. Celtic fans have plenty to be thankful for.
This decade has also obviously seen change. Four different managers as Tony Mowbray’s short tenure as Hoops manager came to an end, making way for Neil Lennon’s first stint. After Lennon left in 2014, the unknown Ronny Deila made a bit of a name for himself before Brendan Rodgers took over in 2016. After Rodgers’ controversial vacancy, leaving for Leicester City, Lennon returned as an interim manager and has since had the interim term lifted. Stephen McManus vacated his captaincy in 2010 for Scott Brown to take over and become a modern legend of Celtic Football Club.
Along with change in managers, the club has seen some great players. Some of these players, such as: Georgios Samaras, Kris Commons, Stefan Johansen, Charlie Mulgrew, Gary Hooper, Joe Ledley, Victor Wanyama, Moussa Dembele, and Kieran Tierney. When it comes to loyalty, we can’t forget about James Forrest, who has spent his entire life with Celtic as well as John Kennedy, who has been working for Celtic since 2010 as a scout and academy coach, later joining the first team coaching staff in 2014.
As the decade winds down, let’s take a look at Celtic’s greatest moments of the decade.
