Connor Goldson has boldly suggested that Celtic have not outplayed Rangers in any Glasgow Derby since he has been at the club, ahead of this weekend’s clash.
The Hoops have won four out of the six meetings between the two sides since Goldson signed for Rangers in 2018, but the defender believes Celtic have not dominated any of those fixtures, Celts Are Here report via Record Sport.
We had the belief before the cup final, since I have been here every match has been tight and we have never been outplayed in a derby. We are all professional players and we have been in these atmospheres at home and in Europe.
If we start well it works in our favour as it can get nervy. We have to play on this and use it to our advantage.

To suggest that Celtic have not dominated any of the fixtures but still manager to win four of the six meetings seems like a strange pre-match comment to make.
Not only does it emphasise how Rangers have struggled against Celtic despite the Hoops not being at their best, it also highlights how Neil Lennon’s men will dominate proceedings when they are on their game.
Celtic will almost certainly improve from the League Cup final performance when they were below par, and that bodes well for the Hoops ahead of Sunday’s meeting.
