Daniel Arzani is somewhat of a forgotten man at Celtic given how he is yet to fully recover from the knee injury he suffered on his Hoops debut in 2018.
The winger had appeared to be returning to fitness earlier this season after making an appearance for Celtic’s Reserves back in September.
Australia manager Graham Arnold then offered a positive injury update on him in October according to FTBL, with the Socceroos boss suggesting the winger was in “great shape.”
He’s in great shape. He’s happy, he’s feeling really good in himself. His body’s feeling great and they’ll be stepping it up at Celtic in that side of it.

However it appears as though Arzani has suffered another injury setback since then, following the Australia boss’ latest update on the winger.
Arzani was not named in Arnold’s squad for the Under-23 Asian Championships next month, with FTBL quoting the Socceroos manager as saying the winger has “not kicked a ball since October.”
We’ve obviously had the communication with him for a long time. Daniel hasn’t kicked a ball since October. His rehab’s come along quite slowly. And Daniel just feels that his body’s not ready for this tournament, he feels that to back up every three or four days to play a game in a tournament situation, he’s not ready.

Arzani’s fitness this season has certainly been a mystery to many Celtic supporters, who had expected to see the winger at least featuring regularly for the Reserves by this point.

However there has been next to no update on the winger’s fitness until now, and given how he has not “kicked a ball” in the last two to three months, it appears as though we are no closer to seeing him feature.
Arzani has not played for Celtic since suffering an ACL injury in October 2018.
