Charlie Nicholas has urged Neil Lennon to sign a player who possesses ‘a bit of stardust’ in January following Sunday’s defeat to Rangers.
The Hoops boss has previously stated his desire to sign between two and four players in January, with a striker being high on the Hoops’ list of priorities.
And according to the Daily Record, while Nicholas agrees Celtic need another striker next month, he believes Lennon also needs to bring somebody with star quality in.
Celtic will be looking to bring two or three players in. They probably need a striker who will have to settle for being a back-up to 24-goal Odsonne Edouard.
If there is a bit of stardust or somebody who can make a statement, then they should pull out all the stops, but there is no point in filling out the squad.

While Nicholas is often controversial and negative when it comes to making comments about Celtic, he is correct here.
Not only do the Hoops need another striker in January, Lennon also needs to strengthen with a player who possesses something different to what he currently has, especially after Sunday’s result.
While Lennon had the likes of Leigh Griffiths and Olivier Ntcham on the bench, he did not have a standout option who could come on and change the game.
