Slovan Bratislava manager Ivan Kmotrik has confirmed that Andraz Sporar will break the Slovakian league record for the highest fee received for a player if he leaves in January.
Celtic have been heavily linked with the striker, with some reports suggesting a bid of €5.5million has already been submitted by the Hoops and rejected by Slovan Bratislava.
And according to Polish website Pilkarskiswiat.com, Kmotrik confirmed Celtic’s first bid wasn’t close to their valuation, instead suggesting they would only accept a league record fee for Sporar as the Hoops line up a second bid.
This amount is unacceptable to us. I think his price is much higher. I can’t imagine selling Andraz for less than 7-8 million euros. If we agree to the winter transfer, it will definitely be the largest transfer from Slovakia.

Sporar was never going to be available for a cheap fee given his age and form in all competitions this season.
The 25-year-old has scored 20 goals and created five assists in just 26 appearances in all competitions thus far.
Sporar also netted five of those goals in the Europa League group stages despite the fact that Slovan failed to progress from the group stages.
He has proven pedigree both domestically and in Europe therefore, and although his price looks set to be rather high, he could prove an excellent signing for Celtic in January.
