Cruzeiro chairman Saulo Froes has sent Celtic a transfer warning amid their pursuit of Fabricio Bruno, suggesting “clubs around the world” should avoid signing him due to his agent.
Reports emerged earlier this week suggesting the Hoops were “locked” in negotiations with Cruzeiro over a move for Bruno, though talks have been complicated by the ongoing legal battle between the club and the defender.
However according to the Daily Record, Froes has urged Celtic to avoid a move for Bruno as his agent is “wholly unethical.”
The player’s agent is wholly unethical. I would urge all clubs around the world to have nothing to do with him. He took advantage of this club in the past, but my warning for him is that he’s now dealing with serious people at this club who are not there to play.

There will be respect to the player on our part, but it has to be reciprocal. This agent gave us no respect and we won’t deal with people like that.

Given how Cruzeiro are reluctant to let Bruno leave the club, it’s difficult to determine whether Froes is attempting to deter interest away or whether he is being genuine.
One thing is for sure however, and that is the fact that Celtic’s pursuit of Bruno has been incredibly complicated thus far given the defender’s current legal battle with Cruzeiro.
