The teenager has impressed whilst appearing for the well-known local club Hutchison Vale in Edinburgh and his performances apparently caught they eye of scouts from both Scotland and England.

Whilst the news of signing a teenager at such a young age may not seem like a huge issue, the fact that Celtic were able to beat off competition from clubs in England like Leicester, who are flying at present, and Southampton who are well known for their excellent youth development, is very significant.
The reality is that Celtic need to find as many hidden gems as they can in order to compete with the best clubs as their budget simply doesn’t stack up to even the worst sides in England.
Therefore, if they can get players like Davidson, who will join up with the Celtic development squad, in early and bring him through the system and into the first-team, then signings such as this are hugely important.
