Celtic have accepted a bid from MLS outfit Inter Miami for winger Lewis Morgan.
That’s according to the Daily Record, who claim the 23-year-old is now travelling back from Dubai after Celtic accepted a “significant six figure sum” from David Beckham’s Inter Miami.
The news comes after the Daily Mail revealed earlier on Thursday that the newly found MLS side had contacted Celtic with regards to the winger’s availability this month.

It is certainly very surprising to hear that Celtic have accepted a bid from Inter Miami given how they had previously rejected a loan offer from Stoke City for Morgan.Â
Furthermore fellow winger Scott Sinclair has already left the club this month following his move to Preston, and allowing Morgan to leave as well leaves Celtic a little short in the wide areas.

Neil Lennon has also previously ruled out a move away for Morgan in January, describing him as an “important part of the squad,” but the offer from the MLS side was clearly too good to turn down.
The Daily Record’s report confirms that Morgan is now on his way back to Glasgow for “talks with the US outfit, his agent and his family.”
Despite Lennon previously looking as though he wanted to keep Morgan, it’s easy to see why the Hoops have accepted the offer.
The 23-year-old has featured sporadically this season and is unlikely to establish himself as a first-team regular, given how Lennon uses Mikey Johnston and Mohamed Elyounoussi ahead of him when they’re both fit.
A move away for Morgan gives him the chance to play regularly and accepting the offer from Inter Miami therefore is the right thing to do for all parties involved.
