Celtic could reportedly be set for a January windfall of around €10m if Moussa Dembele completes a move away from Lyon this month.
The Hoops will receive 10 per cent of any deal for Dembele, after including a sell-on clause in the £19m deal that took the striker to the Ligue 1 side in 2018.
And according to the Daily Record, journalist Duncan Castles believes Lyon will set their asking price for Dembele at a fee in the region of €100m amid interest from the likes of Chelsea, Juventus, Manchester United and Tottenham.
They will take a big offer if they have maximised the valuation on a player whenever it comes. The information I have is the expectation of Lyon’s asking price is it will be above €100m euros.

Why? Because when Tottenham came in for Tanguy Ndombele in the summer they were happy to ask, initially, for a €100m euros for that player. Their president Jean-Michel Aulas is willing to test the desire of big English clubs to pay out serious money.

Having an extra €10m would be a huge boost for Celtic, if Lyon do indeed demand €100m for him.
The windfall would possibly allow them to make a permanent move for the likes of Mohamed Elyounoussi, given how Southampton reportedly value the winger in the region of £9million.
And while we feel a fee of €100m seems rather inflated, Lyon are in an excellent position to demand such a figure, and here’s why.
United missed out on Erling Haaland following his move to Borussia Dortmund, while Harry Kane will be sidelined for Spurs until April at the earliest with a hamstring problem.

The pair need to strengthen their attacking options this month therefore, while Lyon do not need to offload Dembele, which puts the French side in a fine bargaining position.
All of which bodes well for Celtic and the chances of landing a tidy January windfall.
