Paris Saint-Germain defender Moussa Sissako is reportedly deemed surplus to requirements by the French champions amid interest from Celtic.
The Hoops have been tracking Sissako’s progress since he impressed in a 3-2 win for PSG in the UEFA Youth League in 2017, with Neil Lennon said to be eyeing a move for the defender this month.
And according to the Daily Record, the 19-year-old does not appear to be part of PSG’s plans moving forwards after the Ligue 1 giants informed Sissako that “he has no future with the French champions.”

Given how PSG have the likes of Marquinhos, Thiago Silva and Abdou Diallo in their ranks, the club’s stance on Sissako is hardly surprising.
The aforementioned trio have all made over 19 appearances so far this season while Sissako is yet to make his first-team debut, meaning his chances appear incredibly limited.
Offloading him this month therefore makes perfect sense for all parties involved, as PSG will receive a fee for the 19-year-old, with previous reports also claiming they will include sell-on agreements in a deal.

Furthermore, a move away is likely to allow Sissako the chance to play regular first-team football and develop as a player; something he is unlikely to be able to do at PSG, as previously mentioned.
Celtic will have to act quickly if they are to sign the defender however, with Dutch outfit Utrecht having already made contact with PSG over a move for him.
