Celtic’s new signing Patryk Klimala has been compared to Inter Milan’s prolific Lautaro Martinez.
That’s according to the Daily Record, who quote Polish FA president Zbigniew Boniek as stating Klimala will be as good as the £95m-rated Martinez in the future.
In a year or two, I think Patryk will be as good as Lautaro Martinez. He’s improved so much in the the past six months because he was given game time.

Comparing Klimala to Martinez is certainly a bold claim to make in our view, given the form Inter’s striker has been in this season.
The Argentina international has scored 15 goals and created three assists in all competitions so far this season, with the Daily Record claiming the likes of Manchester City and Manchester United are interested in signing him.
But Boniek clearly rates Klimala having seen him progress this season, and we feel the president of the Polish FA is unlikely to make such a comparison unless he believed in 21-year-old’s ability.
And if he can have the same kind of impact at Celtic as Martinez is having at Inter, then we’ll be in for a treat.
