Liam Donnelly has issued an update on his future after being linked with a move to Celtic this month.
Belfast Live reported earlier this week that the Motherwell midfielder has emerged as a target for Celtic, and the Hoops are considering a “shock” move before the end of the transfer window.
However according to the Daily Record, Donnelly has revealed he is fully focused on playing for Motherwell despite being ‘flattered’ by Celtic’s interest.
I saw it but they are just rumours and I don’t think there is too much in it. I won’t be looking too much into it. It is flattering and it is nice when you are linked with other teams it shows you are doing alright and performing well. I am fully focused on Motherwell and I need to keep trying to perform.

Donnelly netted his 10th goal of the campaign from defensive midfield in midweek, and it is therefore easy to see why Celtic are monitoring the Northern Ireland international following his form for Motherwell this season.
However with Ismaila Soro’s arrival at the club looking imminent, making a move for Donnelly doesn’t make much sense to us in our opinion.
Yes, he's not Celtic quality
No, he's a good player
The 23-year-old is highly unlikely to force his way into the starting lineup on a regular basis ahead of Celtic’s current midfield options despite his good form this season.
And the Hoops should therefore avoid making a move for him in our view.
