Lennon rules Frimpong out of Ross County clash
Celtic manager Neil Lennon has confirmed that right-back Jeremie Frimpong is not available for selection for today’s clash with Ross County.
The youngster was injured during the 3-1 victory over Kilmarnock in midweek after Alan Power’s challenge forced him off on a stretcher.
The Irishman escaped the challenge without any punishment. When speaking in his pre-Ross County press conference on Friday, Lennon said:
Frimpong won’t be fit for tomorrow. He’s had a scan and we are waiting on the results.
We don’t think it’s as bad as we first anticipated.

Celtic skipper Scott Brown was disappointed that Power escaped without punishment after the reckless tackle on the Dutchman. Lennon also slammed the tackle, deeming it “overly aggressive”.
Should Power have been sent off for the tackle on Frimpong?
Yes
No
Frimpong has been a key member of the Celtic squad this season and the 19-year-old has made 12 league appearances this season, scoring twice in the process (Transfermarkt).
For Lennon to confirm that it may not be as bad as first feared is great to hear because we believe that at this current moment, he is the best available choice at right-back for the Hoops. Let’s hope he’s back fit soon and ready to continue the march to another league title.
