Niclas Eliasson is likely to leave Bristol City this summer if the Robins do not gain promotion to the Premier League.

That’s according to Bristol Live, who suggest Eliasson is unlikely to sign a new deal with the English Championship side, and there is a high chance a summer move will happen if the Robins do not go up this season.

The report also reveals the likes of Celtic, Burnley and Lazio are all interested in signing the winger, with a number of other clubs expected to join the race prior to the summer transfer window.

Eliasson certainly appears to be someone Robins supporters do not want to lose, given how some have previously described him as one of their “best players.”

And it’s no wonder why they want to keep hold of the Swede, as he is currently contributing a goal or an assist at an average of every other game this season (Transfermarkt), meaning he is a key part of their attacking setup.

Do you think Eliasson would be a good signing?

Yes

No

Personally I feel as though Mohamed Elyounoussi should be the Hoops’ main target with regards to wingers, as he is already at the club on loan and will therefore be used to Neil Lennon’s style of play.

However if the Hoops cannot meet his reported £9m asking price (Daily Record), then Eliasson could prove a good alternative considering his goal and assist contribution for the Robins this season.
