Chris Sutton shared a punny response to Celtic’s victory over Clyde on Sunday as he recognised Mohamed Elyounoussi’s return from injury.
The Hoops recorded their seventh straight win of 2020 with the 3-0 victory at Broadwood last weekend as Elyounoussi returned to make his first appearance of the year (BBC Sport).
Following the win, Sutton took to Twitter to describe Celtic’s win as a “breeze” on a day that saw the United Kingdom battered by Storm Ciara, with gusts as high as 97mph in some areas (BBC).

Celtic certainly didn’t let the weather have an impact on their performance as they produced a professional performance against the League One outfit.
And as Sutton points out, Elyounoussi’s return was one of the main positives other than the result to take away from Sunday in my view. The winger had not featured since his 45 minute first-half display against Rangers in the League Cup final in December due to a foot problem (Transfermarkt).
But to have a player who contributed with a goal or an assist at an average of every game he played in during the first-half of the season (Transfermarkt), now back from injury is a huge positive for Celtic.
Furthermore, his return also gives the Hoops boss a bit more flexibility with regards to the formations he can use. Prior to his return, Lennon had been somewhat forced into changing his system to a 3-5-2 given how short of experienced wingers he was.
Mikey Johnston has been sidelined with a long-term injury (BBC Sport), while Scott Sinclair and Lewis Morgan have both left the club (The Times). However having Elyounoussi back now gives him the option to revert back to 4-2-3-1 or figure out how to fit him into the 3-5-2 – this will keep Celtic’s opponents guessing as to what system Lennon will deploy against them.
