Celtic’s attention returns to their league campaign on Wednesday evening as they face Hearts at Parkhead.
Neil Lennon’s side reached the last eight of the Scottish Cup at the weekend as they eased past Clyde with a 3-0 victory.
Olivier Ntcham, Scott Brown and Vakoun Bayo grabbed the goals for the Bhoys in a dominant performance.
It was yet another impressive display from Lennon’s side this calendar year and they will be looking to continue that fine form into Wednesday evening’s clah, as they return back home after four games on the road.
In-form striker Odsonne Edouard was recently named Ladbrokes Premiership Player of the Month and will be looking to add to his tally of five goals against the Edinburgh side.
Hearts seem to have found their own star striker in the transfer window, with the signing of Liam Boyce from Burton Albion. He’s bagged two league goals already for the Jambos.
Here we take a look at the key battles that could prove vital on Wednesday night.
LIAM BOYCE AND CHRISTOPHER JULLIEN
Boyce is a talisman and has proved that throughout his career.
He’s a focal point and uses his physicality well against defenders.
Jullien has struggled a bit against the likes of Dykes and Ogkmpoe, fellow powerful strikers, so it’ll be interesting to see how he copes against the experienced forward.
SEAN CLARE AND GREG TAYLOR
Sean Clare is a man in-form and has an eye for goal. He’s got silky feet and is linking up well with Boyce.
Taylor has been impressive in recent weeks but this could be his biggest test yet.
ODSONNE EDOUARD AND CRAIG HALKETT
If Hearts are to get anything from this game, they’ll need to keep the Frenchman quiet.
Halkett has made a welcome return to the Hearts side from injury in recent weeks and he’ll need to be at his best to stop Edouard.
CALLUM MCGREGOR AND STEVEVN NAISMITH
This could be a good one, both are playing exceptionally well and both are true leaders in their teams.
McGregor has been superb since the winter break and long may that continue!
Since becoming captain, Naismith has put in performances of a leader in recent weeks and will be looking to earn a victory at Celtic Park.
