Celtic make the trip up to Pittodrie later today to face Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership.
Celtic’s latest victory came against Hearts on Wednesday as the Hoops thrashed the Edinburgh side 5-0.
Impressively, Celtic managed to find the net on five occasions with five different goalscorers, showing the strength and depth of the side.
Sunday’s game comes just four days before the Bhoys’ trip to Copenhagen in the last 32 of the Europa League so we should expect some changes to the side and formation.
Here are the key battles that we think could decide the game.
NIALL MCGINN AND GREG TAYLOR
McGinn’ already been highlighted as our opposition dangerman and this could be the most important battle of them all. Taylor put in a great performance against Hearts in midweek and is picking up a fine run of form in time for the Europa League.
LEWIS FERGUSON AND SCOTT BROWN
As always, this will be a key midfield battle. Both of these men are playing well, controlling their side’s tempo and they are always up for facing each other.
CALLUM MCGREGOR AND DYLAN MCGEOUCH
The former Bhoy recently returned to Scotland in a great deal for the Dons. Both of these players are creatively minded and like to get in and amongst the attacking action, but, it could be their defensive qualities that will be tested the most.
ODSONNE EDOUARD AND SCOTT MCKENNA
Despite Aberdeen not scoring many goals, they’ve not conceded a lot either. Joe Lewis has been exceptional in goal but credit has to go to the Dons’ backline and at the heart of that is Scott McKenna. Big things have been tipped for the Scottish international and if he manages to keep Edouard quiet, it’ll only do him good.
