Chelsea identify Odsonne Edouard as potential transfer target

Chelsea have reportedly identified Odsonne Edouard as a potential transfer target for the summer window.

That’s according to an exclusive report from 90min, who claim Chelsea’s scouts have been impressed by the Frenchman and he is now a possible target alongside former Celtic striker Moussa Dembele.

The report claims Eddy is seen as somebody who can compete with Tammy Abraham for a first-team spot at Stamford Bridge.

READ CELTIC VERDICT

This isn’t the first time Eddy has been linked with a move to Chelsea, with The Express claiming the Frenchman was on the Blues’ radar in the January window.

And given his form this season, it is unlikely to be the last in my opinion.

The 22-year-old has scored 23 goals and created 17 assists in all competitions (Transfermarkt), a record that blitzes Abraham’s current tally of 15 goals and six assists so far this season (Transfermarkt).

Furthermore the likes of Moussa Dembele and Kieran Tierney have both completed high profile moves away from the club in recent season’s (Transfermarkt) Therefore interest in another player who is thriving at Celtic is hardly surprising to see.
