Not for the first time this season, Charlie Nicholas’ Europa League predictions have prompted a reaction from a number of Celtic supporters on social media.

Prior to the Hoops’ opening group stage game against Rennes, the Sky Sports pundit suggested that Celtic did not enjoy playing away from home in Europe and therefore he felt as though the Hoops would suffer a 2-1 defeat in France.

Supporters clearly did not agree with Nicholas at the time, with many criticising the former Celt for his prediction.

And despite the Hoops earning a 1-1 draw against Rennes before beating Lazio 2-1 in the Stadio Olimpico in the group stages, Nicholas still believes his former side still struggle away from home in Europe.

In his latest column for Sky Sports, where he assesses the chances of British teams in Europe, Nicholas tipped Celtic to pick up a 1-1 draw against Copenhagen, saying that their vulnerabilities away in Europe will prevent them picking up a win.

Following his suggestion, a number of Celtic fans have shared their reaction on social media.
