Celtic fans react as Soro is substituted in Reserves friendly vs Aberdeen
Ismaila Soro’s first run out in a Celtic shirt lasted just 45 minutes as he was substituted at half-time during the reserves’ 4-0 win over Aberdeen on Tuesday.
The midfielder is yet to make his full Celtic debut following his £2.5million January move from Bnei Yehuda (BBC Sport).
But the 21-year-old was given his first taste of action in the green and white in a behind-closed-doors friendly for the reserves against the Dons.
Soro started the match as the young Hoops began quickly, opening the scoring through Cameron Harper after just five minutes.
The relentless start from the reserves continued shortly after when Dembele went from provider to goalscorer, this time turning home a rebound after Daniel Arzani’s shot was spilt.
Marian Shved made it three just past the half-hour mark as the Hoops went in three goals to the good at half-time, and Armstrong Oko-Flex added a fourth late on.
After Soro was taken off at the break, these Celtic fans speculated whether he could now feature in the first-team squad on Thursday or whether he picked up a knock in the first-half.
